Trade accounts — wholesale pricing for working workshops
For established UK workshops and trade buyers — 15% off every order, NET-30 invoicing, priority dispatch, and direct access to a working jeweller for trade enquiries.
If you run a working workshop, a jewellery school, a small chain of retail benches, or you buy regularly enough that a tool-supply account makes sense, a Jewellery Tools trade account saves you money on every order and removes the friction of card payments for the small but constant restocks every workshop needs.

Who qualifies
To open a trade account, you'll need to demonstrate ongoing trade use — not occasional hobby purchasing. The simplest qualifying evidence is one of:
- A registered UK business with Companies House number, OR
- A registered sole trader UTR + VAT or NI number, OR
- A jewellery school registration / college institution number, OR
- Any of the above for EU businesses (Brexit-permitting; we'll discuss shipping)
We typically approve trade accounts within one UK working day. We may ask a couple of follow-up questions if the trade use isn't obvious from the application — please don't take that as a rejection, we just want to make sure the trade tier goes to the workshops it's designed for.
Why work with a registered brand
Toolsmith Ltd (the legal entity behind Jewellery Tools™) is a UK-registered company with a trade mark application accepted by the UK Intellectual Property Office under UK00004375341 in Class 8 (hand tools). For trade and wholesale buyers, this matters because:
- You are buying from a verifiable UK legal entity with audited Companies House filings (No. 16520777)
- The brand is protected at UKIPO — counterfeits and tied trade-name disputes are enforceable
- Invoices, hallmark provenance records and warranty claims all carry the same registered identity
- Our manufacturer compliance (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, REACH, EU MDR EC REP) is documented and downloadable
Full certificate pack on the compliance page. Verify the TM application on the UKIPO public register at gov.uk/search-for-trademark.

Frequently asked
How long does approval take?
One UK working day for clear-cut applications. Up to three days if we need to clarify trade evidence with you.
Can I apply if I'm a hobbyist who buys regularly?
Honestly — no, the trade tier is for trade buyers. But you can sign up for the BENCH5 5% off code at our footer signup, and BENCH10 (£10 off £40) is available to everyone. Hobby buyers get plenty of value from our standard pricing + free UK shipping over £30.
What if I'm an EU workshop?
We ship to most of Europe but Brexit makes things complicated for trade-tier invoicing. Apply and we'll work it out together — IOSS, VAT-exempt invoicing, and customs documentation can usually be arranged.
Can I close my trade account if I stop trading?
Yes, anytime — just email and we'll remove the trade tag. Your customer record stays so your order history is preserved.
