Shipping policy

We ship bench tools across the UK and worldwide from our Birmingham workshop.

UK delivery

  • Free UK delivery on orders over £30. Orders under £30 carry a flat £2.95 charge (Royal Mail Tracked 48), shown at checkout.
  • Same-day dispatch on weekday orders placed before 2pm (Mon–Fri). Orders after 2pm, or at weekends and bank holidays, dispatch the next working day. Same-day dispatch is a target, not a guarantee, during peak periods.
  • Carrier: Royal Mail Tracked (24/48) for most orders; larger or heavier items may ship by courier. You will receive tracking by email once your order leaves us.
  • Estimated delivery (after dispatch): Standard 2–3 working days, Express 1–2 working days — by Royal Mail Tracked, subject to the carrier.

International delivery

We ship to the EU, USA, and most of the world. International rates and options are calculated at checkout based on destination and weight.

  • Customs and duties: for most international destinations we operate on a Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) basis — import duties and taxes are calculated and collected at checkout, so the total you pay is final, with nothing further to pay on delivery. For the small number of destinations where prepaid duties are not available, any import duty, VAT, or handling fees charged by the destination country are the recipient's responsibility and are set by your local customs authority.
  • Delivery times vary by destination and customs clearance — typically 5–15 working days.

Order tracking

Once dispatched, you will receive a confirmation email with a tracking number. If you have not received tracking within two working days of ordering, email info@toolsmithltd.co.uk with your order number.

Problems with delivery

  • Not arrived? If a tracked order has not arrived within the expected window, contact us — we will chase the carrier and put it right.
  • Arrived damaged? Email us within 48 hours of delivery with photos and we will arrange a replacement or refund. See our Returns page.
  • Wrong address? Tell us as soon as possible. We cannot redirect an order once dispatched, but we will help where we can.

Address accuracy

Please double-check your delivery address at checkout. We are not liable for orders delayed or lost due to an incorrect address supplied at checkout.
