Terms of service

Welcome to Jewellery Tools (jewellerytools.co.uk), a trading style of Toolsmith Ltd. These terms set out the agreement between you and us when you visit the site, place an order, or otherwise interact with our service. Nothing here removes your statutory rights as a UK consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

Acceptance

By using this site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

Orders

Placing an order is an offer to buy. We accept your offer when we send a shipment confirmation email — at that point a contract is formed. We reserve the right to decline any order for any reason, including pricing errors, stock issues, or suspected fraud. If we decline after payment, we'll refund in full within 5 working days.

Pricing and payment

Prices on the site include UK VAT at the prevailing rate where applicable. Payment is taken at checkout. We accept the payment methods shown at checkout. In the event of an obvious pricing error (for example a £30 hammer listed at £3), we'll contact you to confirm whether you want to proceed at the correct price; we're not obliged to honour the erroneous price.

Shipping and delivery

UK and international shipping terms are set out on our Shipping & dispatch page. We aim for same-day dispatch on weekday orders placed before 2pm, but this is a target not a guarantee — see the shipping page for cut-offs and carriers.

Returns and refunds

You have a statutory 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, starting the day after you receive the goods. We also offer a discretionary 30-day return window on top of this — full terms on our Returns page. Faulty goods are covered separately under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (right to reject within 30 days, repair/replace, or partial refund).

Warranty

Goods carry their manufacturer's warranty where applicable, plus your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, as described). Hand-tool wear from normal bench use isn't a defect.

Intellectual property

All content on the site (text, images, video, code, brand marks) is owned by Toolsmith Ltd or used under licence. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use it for commercial purposes without our written permission. Our editorial content (The Bench Journal articles, buyer's guides) is our work — please don't copy it without attribution.

Acceptable use

Don't use the site to commit fraud, send spam, scrape data at scale, attempt unauthorised access, or anything else that would obviously embarrass either of us. Reasonable rate-limit and bot-detection apply.

Liability

We don't exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so (death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud). For everything else, our liability is limited to the price you paid for the relevant goods. We're not liable for indirect, consequential, or business losses incurred by consumers using the site.

Privacy and data

How we handle your personal data is set out in our Privacy policy. We're registered with the ICO under registration ZC147961.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time — the current version is always the one on this page, dated below. If a change materially affects your existing rights, we'll email customers with an active account or recent order.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, save that consumers resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland may bring proceedings in their home jurisdiction.
