Tweezers left lying on the bench pick up grit at the tips and disappear under everything else; small parts scatter the moment they are set down. This stand answers both at once — tweezers stored upright and ready to lift, with a tray alongside that corrals small components until they are wanted.
The body is anti-magnetic stainless steel, so it will not pull on steel tweezers or tug tiny parts out of place — a real consideration on watch and electronics benches as much as jewellery ones. The 220 x 82 mm footprint sits neatly at the back of the bench, wipes clean and resists corrosion.

Anti-magnetic stainless steel — won't pull on tools
Stainless steel cross-lock and standard tweezers handle bench-torch heat (1500 °C+) on the working tips repeatedly without damage — the steel just discolours. Titanium-tip soldering picks specifically will not bond to silver or gold solder, which standard steel will after enough use.
Cross-lock or reverse-action — which one?
Cross-lock (self-locking on close) grips your work without finger pressure — best for holding a piece for soldering. Reverse-action (locks open, releases on squeeze) holds a piece in position when you want to walk away. Most benches end up owning both.
What is the third-hand base for?
A heavy base with one or two cross-lock arms keeps your work stable while you set up solder pallions or apply heat. Frees both your hands for the torch and pick. The heavier the base, the steadier the work — aim for 1 kg+ for medium bench-torch work.
Can I solder on a ceramic board?
Yes — ceramic boards reflect heat back into the work and do not pit the way old fire-bricks do. For sterling work, a charcoal block underneath gives a reducing atmosphere that helps prevent firescale.
