Wind consistent coils, springs and spirals — and produce matched jump rings — instead of wrapping wire around whatever rod is nearest. Five stainless steel spindles give internal diameters of 1.0, 1.6, 3.0, 4.0 and 5.0 mm, and their burr-free ends let the finished coil slide off cleanly. Our wire gauge guide helps match wire to spindle.

Turn the crank with the wooden handle for handheld winding, or fix the frame in a bench vice when a job wants both hands on the wire. Spindles are around 355 mm long, which gives a useful coil length per wind for findings, miniature springs and small inductors.
