Crucible Tongs — 20 Inch Black, for Gold Silver Copper Melting, Casting & Pouring
A charged crucible fresh from the furnace allows no fumbling. These tongs put 20 inches (508mm) of steel between your hand and the melt — enough reach to lift, carry and pour gold, silver or copper with your knuckles well away from the heat. The curved jaws are shaped to common crucible profiles, and the inward-facing lips at the tips lock the hold so the pour stays controlled from pick-up to mould.
Construction is plain and serviceable: solid steel arms on a single riveted pivot, long straight handles for leverage, finished in black. As with any tool that works over heat, check the pivot and jaw alignment before each casting session and retire it the day it fails inspection.
- 20-inch (508mm) overall length keeps hands at a safe working distance from the furnace.
- Curved jaws are shaped to securely grip common crucible sizes and shapes.
- Inward-facing lips on the jaw tips ensure a stable hold for lifting and controlled pouring.
- Solid steel construction with a durable single-rivet pivot point.
- Long, straight handles provide straightforward leverage and control during use.
