Ingot Mould — Double-Sided Cast Iron, 9", Grooved Rod & Bar Cavities, Gold & Silver Scrap

Turn bench scrap back into working stock. Melt down offcuts, pour into this mould, and you have rod ready for drawing or bar ready for the rolling mill — one pour, and the metal is back in circulation rather than sitting in the scrap pot. Gold, silver and other non-ferrous metals all cast well in it, which suits small-scale refiners as much as bench jewellers.

The mould is solid cast iron, whose thermal mass draws heat evenly for consistent pours. One face is machined with four parallel grooves for wire and rod stock; turn it over and there are four rectangular cavities in assorted sizes for bars. A short, red-painted handle makes positioning the mould less awkward.
