Melting & Casting Crucible Dish — Fused Silica Ceramic, 250 g, 3", Gold, Silver & Copper
Melting for a pour is no place for an unpredictable vessel. This fused silica dish takes a torch across repeated heating and cooling cycles with strong resistance to thermal shock, and the shallow bowl lets the whole charge come up to temperature evenly — gold, silver or copper alike, with capacity for 250 g of gold.
The integrated spout gives a controlled transfer into the mould, and the unglazed surface stays non-reactive, so nothing leaches into a precious metal melt. At 3 inches (76 mm) across, it sits at studio scale rather than refinery scale. Dedicate one dish to each metal where you can — contamination is easier to prevent than to refine out.
