Some joins sit at the wrong angle for a straight jaw — a jump ring at the back of a chain, a loop tucked behind another component. The bent tips on these slim-line pliers reach round the work, so you can place and close small findings without twisting your wrist or the piece. They earn their keep on everyday repair jobs where access is half the battle.

At 13 cm with a slim profile and lightweight handles, they are built for close work: beading, fine wire, optical and repair tasks. The stainless steel wipes clean at the end of a session — an honest economy pattern worth keeping as a second pair at the bench.

  • Economy slim-line bend nose pliers, 13 cm
  • Bent tips reach into tight, awkward angles
  • Stainless steel — wipes clean
  • For jewellery, beading and wire work
  • Slim handles suit close bench and optical work

Common questions at the bench

Which jaw shape suits which job?
Round nose jaws form loops and curves. Chain nose (snipe nose) jaws taper to a fine tip for gripping and bending in tight spots. Flat nose jaws hold work and make crisp, angled bends. Bent nose jaws reach around and under a piece.
Will these mark my work?
Any jaw can mark soft metal or a polished finish if you grip too hard or the jaws are dirty, and serrated or textured jaws mark more easily than smooth ones. Use the lightest grip that holds the piece and keep the jaws clean; on finished or plated work, cover metal jaws with masking tape or use nylon-jawed pliers.
Can they cut wire?
Only if this product's description says it has a cutting edge or built-in cutter. Otherwise use a separate wire cutter; cutting or twisting hard wire in holding jaws can damage the jaw faces.
How should I look after them?
Wipe them clean after use, keep them dry and store them so the jaws do not knock against other tools. Keep the moving parts free of grit and filings so the action stays smooth, and do not use them as a hammer or a lever.
