Twin tools on one stem for anyone who sorts stones: a shovel end that scoops a parcel of stones, beads or small components in one pass, and fine serrated tips at the other end for lifting a single item with certainty. Sorting, grading and laying out work goes noticeably quicker.

The body is a single piece of stainless steel, 180 mm long, so the tension stays consistent, with serrated finger grips along the shank for control. Internal serrations at the points hold individual stones securely without the squeeze-and-ping. Jewellers, gemmologists and watchmakers will find it lives on the sorting mat permanently.

  • Dual-ended design combines a wide shovel with fine-point tweezers in a single tool.
  • Shovel end scoops small stones, beads, and components for rapid sorting.
  • Fine-point tips feature internal serrations for a secure grip on individual items.
  • Serrated finger grips along the body provide stable handling and control.
  • One-piece stainless steel body provides consistent tension and feel.

Common questions at the bench

Which tip size do I need?
Finer points suit small stones and fine work; broader tips hold larger stones, cabochons and beads more securely. Check this product's title and description for the tip it has.
How do I pick up a stone without it springing away?
Lay the stones on a soft pad or sorting tray, bring the tips down level and grip the stone across its widest point with light, even pressure: squeezing harder is what makes a stone spring out. Work over the tray so a dropped stone is easy to find.
How do I look after them?
Keep the tips clean and aligned and brush any grit out of the serrations. Do not use them to prise or lever, and store them where the tips cannot be knocked or bent.
